SENIOR HOUSING STARTUP BRINGS NEXT GENERATION TOOL FOR FINDING SENIOR LIVING TO BALTIMORE SENIORS AND FAMILIES

Seniorly – ‘The Airbnb for Senior Living Options’ – Announces Expansion to Baltimore, Bringing Easy-To-Use Platform to Local Older Adults

Baltimore, MDToday, Seniorly.com, an online platform that empowers families to make better decisions when searching for senior living options, announced an expansion of their services into Baltimore, MD. The San Francisco-startup’s senior living marketplace makes finding assisted living in Baltimore for seniors as simple as finding a place to stay on Airbnb.

Everyday 10,000 people turn 65 in the United States. According to the US Census Bureau, the county of Baltimore is already home to more than 133,000 people over 65. The average price of assisted living in Baltimore is $3,370 per month on Genworth’s 2016 Long Term Care Costs tool.

“After spending hours testing our product with older adults, we found that there are three main drivers of a good user experience including more visuals, more reviews, and an open search platform,” said Seniorly CEO Arthur Bretschneider. “Seniorly is excited to bring this new easy to use tool to the Baltimore area.”

Since launching in 2015, Seniorly has helped match hundreds of families with assisted living communities by bringing more information about living options online than any other site. The online platform that has been called the “Yelp for senior living options” provides aggregated reviews for over 87 communities in the Baltimore area, and more than 1,500 nationwide.
